We were at this hotel for a 3 night stay and ended up checking out after 2 nights. Can't begin to say how dirty this hotel was. The carpets were never cleaned and the furniture was old and outdated. We've stayed at a few "budget" hotels in our travels...but this takes the cake. Don't expect water pressure in the bathroom and everything just felt dirty. The front desk staff were friendly, but thats about it. We got no refund for the last night stay, but didnt care as we checked into another hotel down the street to get some rest.

The hotel has a great location near everything in downtown chicago. Friendly staff. Lots of places to eat just a short walking distance. I found very useful and helpful that the lobby has lots of information in maps(street, metro, buses) and flyers of chicago ( places to go, things to do). But the rooms need TLC, noisy AC, old furniture.....If I go back to chicago I would stay there again

Our party stayed 4 nights with 2 rooms. All staff we came in contact with (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, bell services) were friendly and helpful. The king room was small but clean for the most part (bug squished on wall, thick dust on baseboards). The bathroom was very clean and relatively new (looks just like photo except we had shower only, no tub). Headboard did not seem to be attached to bed, which was odd. If you sat up in bed and leaned against the headboard to read or watch tv, it would smack against the wall. King bed had 3 thin pillows; could have used twice as many. Though overall the room looked fine, new carpet (instead of the thin patio carpet currently installed) would be a very welcome addition. Temps were 80-90+ during our visit and the air conditioner kept the room very cold. Hot water pressure in the sink was practically non-existent. The train is very close to the NW corner of the building but with the air/fan on it never bothered us. We also had a room with two double beds that was huge, with kitchenette, couch, and two windows. The view was ABYSMAL though, as both windows looked out into an alley straight out of Blade Runner. Bathroom was nice and clean, but water never got hotter than lukewarm. Not a problem in the room next door though, which was odd. Location is excellent, within walking distance of the museum campus, the Art Institute, Millennium Park and downtown shopping. An El station is only two blocks away. If you can get a good deal on the room rate (which we did) and don't mind an older hotel with basic amenities and lots of quirks, this hotel is a good bet.
